Grow Old. Look Young

Growing old has two meanings. The first meaning is the desire to reach a high age in good health. Here, growing old means "lifespan". We almost always find the other meaning of growing old less pleasant. It means that our appearance shows signs of old age.

The process of looking older starts immediately after puberty. Every human cell contains two strings of chromosomes (our DNA). The ends of these strings are called telomeres. From the moment you are an adult, these telomeres start to fray. This causes new cells to be created that show signs of aging. You get wrinkles, pigment spots, less firm skin, gray hair, and so on.

Scientific research shows that almost everything that helps you live longer in good health also helps to counteract the process of aging. Healthy food. Lots of exercise.

We all know that smoking, junk food, too much alcohol, excessive UV radiation (too much sun) and living in an unhealthy environment with polluted air shortens lifespan. At the same time, these things accelerate the fraying of chromosomes. So you will also look older faster.

You can prevent the fraying of your telomeres and even repair it. For that you need polyphenols. These substances produced by plants help to prevent aging. You can find these polyphenols in (good) olive oil, especially if the olives are harvested early. EH1200 is such an olive oil, which is particularly rich in polyphenols. Daily use of about 20 ml has many health effects. One of them is that you counteract aging.
