Welcome

Welcome to villa-evoo.com. My name is Hans van der Hoek. I'm the founder. After a career in information technology, I wanted to do something that combines "healthy" with "tasty" and "sustainable." Olive oil was the choice. Through Greek friends, I met olive oil farmers who produce incredibly delicious olive oils, but due to their small scale, they can't export. I visit these farmers, taste their oil, discuss how to maintain consistent quality, and sell their olive oil in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. It's essential that the olive oil is of the highest quality and contributes to a healthy lifestyle.

We currently have three olive oils in our range:
- La Chinata, a velvety-smooth, healthy Spanish oil. The taste is best described as Spanish. Anyone who enjoys Spanish tapas and other Iberian dishes will truly appreciate this olive oil.
- Eleas, a premium Greek olive oil from the Mylonas family, not far from the city of Patras. This family produces a delicious olive oil with a pleasant bitterness and a good peppery finish. They do this completely organically.
- EH1200. Philippa Kariadis lives in Northern Greece. He chooses a different approach. His olive trees aren't the typical Greek Koroneiki, but the Picual, originally from Spain. This olive tree, however, contains slightly more polyphenols than Koroneiki. Moreover, it harvests 6 to 8 weeks earlier than its counterparts. As a result, it doesn't produce a lot of olive oil, but it does produce an unprecedentedly delicious flavor. Moreover, EH1200 is very rich in polyphenols (approximately 1200 mg per kg of oil), which makes this olive oil incredibly healthy.
