The weather in 2023 did not really contribute to a good harvest. The quantity has been approximately halved and the quality would also be somewhat less, the experts predicted.
But now that we have tasted the EH1200, we can safely say that it has become a superior olive oil. This is indeed Next Level.
When you open the bottle, the grassy aroma greets you. The present and full scent increases expectations for the taste.
When you pour the oil, you will see a deep golden, almost greenish olive oil, flowing slowly from the bottle. Can these expectations still be exceeded?
The oil lands velvety soft on the tongue. You taste fresh grass and artichokes. After a few seconds a bitter note emerges, which surpasses the best IPA. When swallowing, the receptors at the back of the throat are activated by the oleocanthal. And this oil is very rich in oleocanthal. So a strong, peppery reaction occurs. About half a minute after swallowing, a pleasant glow rises through the esophagus. This is absolute top oil.
The figures also show this. The acidity is < 0.2%. The polyphenol content is no less than 487 mg per KG.
This oil is good to drink neat, but can also be combined with many cold and warm dishes. Our top five:

4. Pan con tomate with EH1200
5. Tuna with EH1200
Although heating EH1200 is completely safe, we recommend using the oil cold. When heated, some of the polyphenols evaporate.
